We’ve had Acer’s Aspire Timeline 4810T for over a week now, and have had a proper opportunity to get to grips with it. One of its most impressive features is the portability on offer, with skinny dimensions that help it to slip easily into bags.

Apple has seemingly taken our gripes to heart, and has re-introduced the 15-inch MacBook with a number of noteworthy changes, including a lower starting price ($1,699 vs. $1,999), an SD Card reader, and a long-lasting lithium-polymer battery that delivers more than 8 hours on a charge. We wish there were more USB ports on board, but you won’t find a more powerful 15-inch notebook that’s this easy to carry.

The TX27 is quite possibly the most well-designed, aesthetically pleasing notebook we’ve come across. For starters, it’s absolutely tiny — measuring 272×195.1×28.5mm and weighing just 1.25kg. This ranks it among the lightest notebooks we’ve tested and, take our word for it; you’ll hardly notice it in your backpack.
