November 1st, 2007Dell Laptops review
Dell Laptops evaluation Why do I like Dell laptops? Great price, quality, warranty, versatility, looks, features and variety – all this gives Dell laptops extra points. And this is not the only reason why Dell sells more laptops than any other laptop manufacturer.
They always have good sales, refund, free shipping and free printers or other freebies included, and also good customer service.
Dell also includes At-Home Service with each purchase- this means that if they cannot fix your problem on the phone or if you need a substitution part to be installed, a third party technician can come to your house free of charge and fix it.
You can go to Dell laptops for more pros and cons and details. But first check out my own ‘Dell points’. These ‘points’ will give you a pretty good idea why I like Dell so much:
Dell Latitude laptops
Dell Latitude laptops are only available through Dell’s Small Business and thus not as many people may be familiar with them… but there you can find some really great deals like the latest Dell Latitude D500 that is considered to be one of the cheapest Intel Centrino laptops and is available for under $900 with standard options.
Dell laptop parts
Dell laptop parts are the most sold for laptops, and you can buy them wherever. Most laptop parts manufacturers make Dell comparable parts. At the same time Dell memory and hard drives will fit many other laptops. Dell parts are easy to find and replace.
Dell memory & Dell hard drives
There is a high demand for Dell memory. See my guide on Dell memory.Dell hard drives for laptops are very reliable and affordable, and they fit many other laptop brands. Learn more about them in Dell hard drives guide.
Dell laptop repair
Dell laptops are easy to repair – easy to disassemble or send back. This is possible with Dell warranty and At-Home service or through mail-in service.
Cheap Dell laptops
Dell’s pricing system is the most competitive. And they just recently announced another 3 to 5% cut on their laptop prices. Their business model allows them to give the best deals on their cheap laptops – compare cheap Dell laptops. But you would get the best values in Dell refurbished or used laptops:
Used Dell laptops
Refurbished Dell laptops are the way to go to save money on used laptops. Any refurbished laptop can be returned within 14 days from the date of invoice. Dell refurbished laptops come with the same three year warranties as their new ones, and they sell them with a good discount – see my example in refurbished laptops guide.
Dell restore laptops
Dell restore laptops are the way to go – see used Dell laptops. Refurbished Dell laptops are an excellent choice because their warranties are the same as they are for new ones.
Dell Recycle
If you own a little business, using Dell Recycle is a suitable and inexpensive way to get rid of your old computer equipment. They’ll come and pick it up for about $7 a desktop or a monitor.
Dell Support
Their on-the-phone support is quite good; sometimes it takes time to get through because of the demand. (24×7 phone support at 1-800-624-9896).
Always think Dell’s web site first. It is loaded with information, and sometimes it may not be easy to find what you’re looking for but be unrelenting, everything you need is there. They may have the most complete web site out of all laptop manufacturers.
